HONEY LOCUST (GLEDITSIA TRIACANTHOS) -

An elegant, HARDY>HARDY tree with delicate fern-like LEAVES that turn pale yellow in autumn. Branches are covered in distinctive three pointed thorns.

STYLE : Suitable for informal upright, slanting, semi-cascade or twin trunk.

HONEY LOCUST (GLEDITSIA TRIACANTHOS) -

 REPOT : Every other year in early spring just prior to BUD>BUD burst.

SOIL : Ideally Akadama or 40:60 GRIT:organic.

PRUNE : Prune hard or right back to trunk in winter.

PINCH : Trim new SHOOTS constantly throughout sumMEr.

SOIL : Free draining soil such as Akadama.

WATER : DAI>DAIly throughout growing season but infrequently during winter months.

FEED : BALANCED FEED every two weeks during spring/summer.
